The Process

Heres the 4 steps in creating your design

  • Your Astrology Chart is Drawn up

First, I’ll get your birth info and plug it into a computer program to look at your astrology natal chart. If you do not want to use yours, or do not have your birth info, you can roll my astro dice to bring you to your designs (skip to 3rd step and see below if you’re interested in this option).

  • Your Chart is Aligned with my Astrology Project

Second, I’ll get ahold of you the day before your appointment to discuss what areas of your chart highlight my Astro flash wheel.

  • Images are Picked for Final Drawing

Third, between all the options of symbols, you get to decide which ones and how many you identify with and like the most. Id recommend anywhere between 2 and 5 for a good representation of some important aspects in your chart. I hope to bring together two styles that I love- realism black and grey with bright and bold colors also incorporated. With that said though, its very important to me that you have this designed how you want it!

  • Astrology Dreamscape Design Created

Finally, on the day of your tattoo appointment, your astro design is ready to be revealed and tattooed on you! I’ll have a mini natal chart reading for you as well.

Astrology Tattoos

Aligning your Astrology natal chart configuration with my very own image based representation of the Astrology wheel, we’ll find what images are highlighted in your reading. After a better understanding of your chart and a discussion of what images speak to you, I’ll go to the drawing board to create a one of a kind piece to tattoo on you the following appointment. I envision these designs to come together as a dreamscape surreal landscape or special beautiful charms for you to embody.

Looking Further

A break down of how I use images to symbolize parts of the Astrology chart

Here’s a final design of a clients chart after a full reading and after the designs have been picked.

The wheat here represents the client’s 6th house. They have a very heavy Saturn placement there, along with 3 other planets (called a stellium) - meaning a lot of Virgo/6th house attributes will be a big focus in their life.

All the sun growing from the wheat represents their Leo rising and their sun in the 5th house- this is also a very big aspect to their life. Because all these planets in both houses sit right next to each other, they heavily influence each other, which is why I wanted the symbols to be attached and growing with one another.

The clouds underneath the whole image symbolizes the air element that is is pretty much non-existent in the whole chart. Notice how I drew them not touching and not on the same plane as the other images. It’s almost as if perhaps the client has a harder time reaching for air qualities.

All Customizable

I designed these images in hopes they just represent a symbol. A certain drawing of a certain picture on the chart doesn’t actually have to look exactly the same in your dreamscape tattoo design. For example: If you had a strong 9th house placement and really loved the bird image I drew in the 9th house but maybe you didn’t specifically want that exact bird, we can talk about other birds you like instead and how you want them to show up in your final piece. Colors, styles, and images are all customizable, this big chart I drew up is a way to start a consultation for a unique design and to talk astrology.

More to Consider

Roll the Dice

If you maybe aren’t into astrology, don’t have your birth info, or would rather just use this whole project as a “get what you get” tattoo design game, you can choose to roll 3 astrology dice instead. I have three 12 sides astrology dice- two have the 12 different zodiac signs, the other has the 12 house numbers on the chart. By rolling them a few times, we can randomly find images you can pick from to make a dreamscape tattoo design.

Astrology Info

There are several different astrology chart systems to use and I believe it’s sortive a journey of tuning into a few and trying them out to have your own reasons why one works for you and the others don't. In my 12 years of looking at charts, I’ve decided the ancient Whole Sign system resinates with me stronger then the others, therefore I’ve decided I’ll be using it to discuss your chart too. If you have any questions about what that means I can give you some info on it in our first session together!

I also want to note- Although I have been doing this for a long time, I do not consider myself an expert. I have a good solid understanding of chart readings but have never educated myself enough to become a master. I can look at your chart and have plenty of good knowledge to share that will be very helpful as an introduction for you- I believe you will really find a side of yourself that could add value to your life. I believe with keeping astrology readings to a shorter intro synopsis, you can take it in on a simple level and have space to sit with the strong planets or aspects.

To me, my expertise in astrology lies in the many years I’ve observed the simple strong points in mine and others’ charts’. It really has shown me astrology holds truth that has helped me understand myself and love myself on a deeper level!
